How to Play (Instructions)
- 1
Predict the Laser's Exit Point
This light reflection puzzle tests your spatial reasoning. You must predict which outer exit the laser beam—entering the grid from a green arrow—will reach after bouncing off mirrors at 90-degree angles.
- 2
Rules
The green cell marks the laser's starting point. The beam travels in a straight line and reflects exactly 90 degrees whenever it hits a mirror (a diagonally placed block). Trace the path of the reflection in your mind and click on the correct exit.
- 3
Grid and Objective
The grid measures 250x258 pixels. You must select the single exit—out of several options along the perimeter—where the laser beam ultimately arrives. An incorrect prediction regarding the reflection path results in an incorrect answer.
Cognitive Functions You Will Train
Sharpening Spatial Visualization and Working Memory
By simulating the path of a laser beam as it reflects off mirrors at 90-degree angles and predicting the correct exit point, you train your spatial visualization skills—the ability to mentally picture the movement and directional changes of objects—and your visual tracking abilities—the attentiveness required to accurately follow a sequence of reflection points. Furthermore, the process of logically deducing the path based on the entry point and mirror placement simultaneously engages your reasoning skills and working memory—the ability to calculate the next move while temporarily retaining information about previous reflections. Repeated practice can help improve everyday spatial processing skills, such as reading maps and navigating routes.
